Join the practice
Geering Chartered Surveyors is a growing practice providing independent valuation and property advice across Devon and Cornwall. We are looking for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to support the practice on a flexible, part-time or ad-hoc basis.
The role
Hours will be shaped around your availability and the flow of instructions. The work is likely to include:
- RICS Red Book valuations of residential and rural property
- Inspections and valuation reports for tax, probate, matrimonial and shared ownership purposes
- Agricultural and mixed-property instructions, where your experience allows
- Support on wider advisory and consultancy matters
What we are looking for
- Current MRICS or FRICS membership
- Current RICS Registered Valuer status
- Sound valuation experience, ideally including residential and rural property
- Good local knowledge of Devon and/or Cornwall
- Clear report writing and a calm, practical approach with clients
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle
Working arrangements
The role is genuinely flexible and would suit an experienced surveyor looking to reduce their hours, step back from full-time practice, or take on occasional work alongside other commitments. We are open to either employed or self-employed arrangements, and the terms, including professional indemnity cover, will be agreed at the outset.
